Cutting Edge Spine’s President and Co-Founder Randy Roof brings nearly 25 years of orthopedic spine and biologic expertise to the organization, along with an entrepreneurial vision, extensive management and leadership experience, and a proven track record of industry success.
Mr. Roof has an intimate knowledge of the intricacies and challenges of creating an early entrant entity and taking products from the development phase, to 510(k) approval, and then creating an identifiable brand with broad scale distribution success.
His extensive clinical experience, combined with his understanding of the market at field level, gives Mr. Roof an in-depth understanding of current technology and most importantly, the patient needs of tomorrow.
Prior to co-founding Cutting Edge Spine, Mr. Roof was President and Founder of nuSpine Medical Technologies, an agency focused upon spinal implants, pediatric trauma and deformity, and biologics sales and clinical support. He has been a Co-Founder/Founder of several other companies within the spine space; including spine focused organizations Eden Spine and Band-Lok in addition to neuro-monitoring entity TechnoVision.
A cum laude BAC graduate of Bowling Green State University, Mr. Roof’s passions include mentoring youth by coaching sports, supporting numerous charitable causes, and advancing the efforts of Kidz Foundation, a charitable organization he and his wife founded that is focused upon helping under-privileged children on many fronts.
Brad Roof possesses 15 years of experiences in managing operations for orthopedic and biologics organizations.With an extensive knowledge of quality assurance, manufacturing sourcing, field level logistics, and customer service, Mr. Roof’s focus is on providing Cutting Edge Spine’s surgeon-users, agents, and customers with the absolute best value proposition offered in the industry today.

Kyle Kuntz has over 20 years of career experience and more than half of that in the Spine industry. He brings a common sense approach to design and development. His varied background allows him to solve clinical problems in a practical way. This method of problem solving brings product to market in a faster and more cost effective manner. He enjoys working with surgeons to develop systems that meet both the patient’s and the surgeon’s needs. His passion for the Spine Industry drives him to put the best possible solutions in the surgeon’s hands.
Mr. Kuntz is a graduate of Penn State University and currently lives in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Shyam Patel is part of the R&D team at CES. Mr. Patel is a native of Charlotte, NC who graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He strives to innovate and bring creative solutions to the table. Mr. Patel is an avid designer who loves to take on new challenges and opportunities.
Luke Maher brings 15 years of spinal device industry experience to directing CES's national distribution strategy. Prior to joining CES, Mr. Maher spent time with Medtronic Spine, Globus and Centinel Spine; with varying internal and external capacities. Mr. Maher graduated from Viterbo University with a Bachelors in Marketing. He, furthermore, played basketball while in college and professionally after college.
Lauren Danielson is A graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Cell/Molecular Biology. Several years of Health Care industry experience.
